Lixi is a Holistic practitioner and Yoga teacher based in Bristol, UK. Her earlier studies were in art, psychology and counseling before commencing her holistic training. Her holistic journey began with an ITEC diploma in Holistic Massage, Anatomy, Pathology and Physiology in Surrey in 2013. Following this, her training has included Thai Yoga Massage, Seated Acupressure, Reiki, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Natural Facials, Indian Head Massage, Gua Sha, Table Thai and Deep Tissue Fusion, Kids Yoga, Sound Healing, Meditation and Tantra Yoga.

Lixi interest in the Tibetan 5 Rites led her onto a better understanding of yoga and sparked an interest in Buddhist and Taoist philosophies and meditation.  Regular practice of yoga allowed her to appreciate what a powerful tool that yoga really is for anyone.

Her first encounter with Thai Massage was when she attended a yoga retreat. The treatment was like taking yoga to the next level! She knew she had to learn this art as quickly as possible so promptly furthered her studies with Shen Mantra. Lixi assisted Francesca in London with the Thai Yoga Massage Diploma and the Deep Tissue Fusion course before entirely taking over the courses when Francesca moved to Hong Kong.

From the age of 7, Lixi trained in classical ballet in South Africa and then at the Royal Academy of Dance in the UK from 9 years old until 19. This formed a basis for her body awareness and later realisation how much movement affects the body. Over the years, she immersed herself with other forms of movement including modern dance, capoeira, karate, hoop dance dancing and dancing for fun.

Between 2015 and 2020, Lixi co-created an event massage collective called Massaura Bliss offering massage and other bodywork inside a beautifully decorated yurt at various festivals. Events including Noisily Festival, OM & Bass Festival, Schoola Hoop Camp, Wonderland, and Morning Gloryville. This came to a pause during lockdown but the introspection of the last two years moved her path into a different and more suitable direction.

Her interest in sound has deepened over the lockdown period, and she’s excited to be building her sound instrument family to tap more deeply into the power of sound, including the voice to facilitate healing for her clients.

She has experience working in holistic clinics and luxury spas. She Lixi currently works from her private space at home in Bristol as well as home visits around Bristol and intermittently in Surrey.

Lixi has always been interested in creativity and connecting with people. Her mission is to inspire and get people thinking about their health for longevity and embracing and cherishing their truth and uniqueness. She loves to take in as much as possible finding complimentary dynamics between many things. She is currently working on an electronic sound bath experience with her partner in Bristol and planning some exciting things for 2022.

Lixi is really excited to finally be bringing Shen Mantra to Bristol.
