Victoria is a Hatha Yoga teacher and Thai Yoga Massage therapist living in Barcelona. Growing up, massage was an important part of her life. Her mother is a massage therapist and she has received and given massages for as long as she can remember; she sees massage as an expression of love and compassion.

 

However, she came to Thai massage through the path of Yoga, of which she has been a student for over 10 years. A childhood fascination with India led her there at just 18 years old, when she first encountered the ancient sciences of Ayurveda and Yoga, and the profound and enriching wisdom of Hindu philosophy.

 

Upon her return to her native UK she began to practice yoga asana; something that started out as a form of exercise and remedy to the pressures of student life soon began to have far-reaching effects on every aspect of her life off the mat. In 2012, she completed a 200h Yoga Teacher Training in order to share the benefits of yoga with others. She considers herself a lifelong student.

 

In 2013, having lived in Argentina, Burundi, and Belgium, Victoria moved to Barcelona, shortly after returning from a trip to Thailand, where she had her first real encounter with Thai massage. Seeing the similarities with yoga postures and their benefits, and how they were combined with other massage techniques, Victoria was naturally drawn to this healing art. After moving to Barcelona, she connected with Thai massage therapists and continued to receive treatments; she also began to learn basic techniques to practice on friends and loved ones by attending Thai massage workshops and acro-yoga classes.

 

 In early 2016, Victoria completed the Thai Yoga Massage practitioner Diploma with Francesca at Shen Mantra in London. This marked an important step in her journey, and she has been practicing T.Y.M. since her return to Barcelona. As with yoga, she is passionate about sharing T.Y.M. with as many people as possible, believing that we in the West can benefit from the transformational and ancient healing wisdom of the East.
