International Yoga Festival

March 1-7 2012

The annual International Yoga Festival is organized jointly by Uttarakhand Tourism and Parmarth Niketan Ashram in Rishikesh, India.

During this one-week Festival, you will have the opportunity to participate in over 60 hours of Yoga classes from world-class Yoga teachers practicing multiple styles of Yoga including Kundalini Yoga, Power Vinyasa Yoga, Iyengar Yoga and Kriya Yoga.

The participants will also be blessed with the presence, satsang and divine words of revered saints and spiritual masters from within India, including H.H. Sri Shankaracharya Swami Divyanand Teerthji, H.H. Swami Chidanand Saraswatiji and H.H. Swami Veda Bharatiji.

Yoga is not merely for our bodies, but rather Yoga is for our bodies, minds, hearts and souls. Yoga literally means "Union" - union of breath with the body, union of the mind with the muscles, and most importantly union of the self with the divine. Yoga is not a religon. It does not require you to believe in a certain God or chant certain mantras.

Yoga is an ancient science which leads to health in the body, peace in the mind, joy in the heart, and liberation of the soul.

The International Yoga Festival explores the eight limbs of Yoga and how they apply to our lives whether we consider ourselves Yoga students or not.

International Sahaja Yoga Festival which will take place in Togliatti, Russia, on July 29, 30, 31. For each of us it is a unique opportunity to gather together again as a big Sahaja family and to enjoy the unforgettable minutes of love and joy.

Our beloved Mother Shri Mataji Nirmala Devi bestowed blessings upon us and spent three wonderful days in Russia in 2009. This great Divine present of Mother was made for each of us to strengthen our faith, to give us hope and to enlighten the way of the future spreading of Sahaja Yoga.

The 2011 Free style Thai Massage European Gathering takes place on the island of Iž, near the coastal city of Zadar, Croatia. The event lasts 12 days – it begins on Sunday, 26th of June at 11 AM, and closing ceremonies are on Friday, 8th of July 2011 at 11 AM

The core of the Gathering will be numerous specialized workshops held by internationally respected teachers. However, the major goal of the event is to connect Thai massage practitioners and teachers on a larger scale and to strengthen the European Thai massage community. In Europe, many practitioners struggle on their own, often isolated in their own countries, and this event is an effort to improve that situation by providing a unique opportunity for dozens of practitioners from a various lineages to meet and work with each other on their own continent. This is especially important for those practitioners who have never visited Thailand and have never felt the great spirit of the Thai massage motherland, or how it feels to be connected to a large number of colleagues.

European Gathering is open to all students and practitioners of traditional Thai massage worldwide, with a minimum of 30 hours of study.

European Gathering 2011 is not organized by any international organization, but by a group of teachers and their schools

In the first 7 days of the event the following 2 hour workshops will be offered :

- How to avoid injury and fatigue in work with Thai massage
- Developing the sense of contact, connection and flow
- Working on the stomach
- Herbal compresses and oil work for deep pain release
- Treatment for stress in Thai massage
- An introduction to energy work in Thai massage
- Thai massage for neck and shoulder
- Metta and mindfulness as the basic of Thai Massage
- Legwork with the recipient in the prone position
- Transforming traumas into a mimic or a vocal pattern

In the following 5 days you can attend some of the 20 hour workshops:

- Finding own center, client’s center and the connection
- Sen line therapy and techniques
- Dealing with Energy and Emotions in Thai Massage
- Recipient in the prone position – Advanced
- Thai massage treatment routine without the use of thumbs

An additional two presentations will be offered as well:

- Yoga for bodyworkers
- Therapeutic flying

In the Gathering schedule, two days are reserved exclusively for treatments exchange !

The price for the attendance is 300 Euros for the 7 days of Gathering. The price of the 5 day -20 hour workshops that follows the Gathering is 200 eur per workshop ( you can attend maximum two )
