 This course incorporates anatomical theory, scientific research, Chinese medicine acu-wellness therapy with the aid of a magnetic tool and a gua sha board, and TMJ facial fascia massage treatment protocol.

 

 WHO IS THIS COURSE SUITABLE FOR?

 

• Professional therapists with a suggested minimum of 6 months experience working with facial massage techniques. Level 3 is a must for this course.

• Therapists that wish to further their skills and incorporate the techniques in their treatments.

 

 

Prerequisite Anatomy & Physiology, and Full Body Massage (ITEC, VTCT, BTEC, CIDESCO and CIBTAC or a similar qualification). Online massage certifications are not recognized as fulfilling the entry-level requirements for this program. Proper hands-on training from an accredited institution is required for entry.

WHAT WILL THE COURSE COVER?

 

The course is run by Frances a Canzano-Franklin, TCM practitioner, passionate about eastern modalities, cosmetic acupuncture and natural facial modalities rooted in eastern medicine, and Achara Chavanakunakorn, Thai Medicine and Medical Herbalist with 20+ years experience in the body and wellness sector.

The imbalance in jaw alignment may cause changes in the shape of the face, such as a shifted chin, as well as:

• The art of scraping + the theory of raising a rash connected to the TMJ region

• The connection between traditional Chinese medicine, muscles and the skin

 

 PRACTICAL:  We will take you through a series of techniques to incorporate within a facial massage in order to release muscle tightness 

 

• Bespoke tool/s specifically designed to assist with facial muscle tightness 

• How to correctly use a variety of tools: magneto, pro gua sha stone, bespoke osteo tools

• Treatment demonstration of various techniques + how to incorporate into a facial/ massage treatment

• How to care for the tools and prevention of RSI
